A visit to the Long Tan Memorial

This morning we visited the orphanage and presented gifts and spent time talking to the staff and the students. We then conducted a commemoration ceremony at the Long Tan Memorial. Kendall on behalf of the RSL SA conducted a commemoration ceremony and then Brenton recited the words from "I was only 19' by Redgum and explained what the song represented - a very moving experience that we will never forget. After another fantastic lunch we did a quick tour around Vung Tau and visited the Australian Logistic area and what is known as the Back Beach. Tonight we are staying at the famous Grand Hotel on the Front Beach.
